The Orton-Gillingham Difference

The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach reading, writing, and spelling to a struggling student.

Dyslexia Solution's Mission

To help families and students find success learning to read, write and spell.  All children should feel confident and find joy in reading (both eye reading and ear reading).

The Orton-Gillingham way

The Orton-Gillingham Approach is always focused on the learning needs of the individual student. Students with dyslexia need to master the orthographic and syntax systems used in the English language.  We do this by focusing on phonics, morphology, syntax and comprehension skills.  Because of their dyslexia, our students' need explicit help in sorting, recognizing, and organizing our language to become successful readers and writers.
