Could it be Dyslexia?

Having a child diagnosed with dyslexia can be a confusing experience. While dyslexia makes reading more difficult, everyone can learn to read.  Dyslexia does not define a person or their potential.  In fact, my students often express relief when they have a name for their struggles.  We need to keep expectations high for students with learning differences.  Among the many dyslexia success stories are Thomas Edison, Stephen Spielberg, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Charles Schwab.

Dyslexia is a neurological condition caused by a different wiring of the brain. There is no cure for dyslexia, and individuals with this condition must learn how to overcome their weaknesses and use their strengths to find success.  This success often starts with tutoring, and in our tutoring center, the absolute focus is on the student's success.   Not just success in the future but measurable success in every lesson. 

Research indicates that dyslexia has no relationship to intelligence. Individuals with dyslexia are neither more nor less intelligent than the general population. In the public-school settings, many teachers are not knowledgeable about dyslexia and often don't have the training or time to individually help children who are struggling.  Dyslexia Solutions can help!
