Everyone can learn to read!
At Dyslexia Solutions children are tutored in a one to one setting twice a week. The curriculum (SPIRE) is tailored to each child, and progress is made in small, quantifiable steps. Our professional staff is specifically trained to work with children with dyslexia and learning disabilities.
Our program is independent of public-school procedures. We serve all children regardless of ability. The success of the child is the top priority of every session. We aim to improve our student's self-confidence as well as reading skills.
The Orton-Gillingham Approach
We take pride in the fact that our model incorporates the latest research in the Science of Reading, spelling, and dyslexia. We are structured to serve a specific population; children with dyslexia and learning disabilities.
It is not required that the child have a formal diagnosis of dyslexia. Our screening process helps to identify areas of weakness and targets specific skills to be addressed.
How are we different?
Our instructional approach is specially designed for each student. Concepts are introduced using the Orton-Gillingham approach which is an explicit, direct, cumulative, structured literacy approach.
Upon identifying areas of need, each child will be placed at the appropriate skill level and with the right tutor for them.
