Karee Atkinson, owner of Dyslexia Solutions. I am a mother of four wonderful children, all of whom have been diagnosed with dyslexia. I am also dyslexic, and I was determined to find resources and help for my children. Unfortunately, resources were hard to find, so I co-founded Decoding Dyslexia Utah. I later certified as an Orton-Gillingham practitioner through the Orton-Gillingham Association and currently work with children who are dyslexic.

My passion is to help kids find success while learning to read. No one should feel that they are not intelligent or lack potential because reading and spelling are difficult for them. I have a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University and a Master's Degree in Political Science from the University of Utah.  I am also an Associate Level Practitioner with the Orton-Gillingham Association.

Sara Jackman grew up in Oregon and received her B.S. in Communication Disorders from the University of Utah. She's worked as a literacy specialist in both the mainstream and special education school systems for the past eight years. As the mother of four amazing kids with different learning styles, she understands the difficulties parents face trying to help their children overcome obstacles and succeed in school. She finds joy in helping each child reach their full potential. When she's not teaching, Sara loves hiking, especially in southern Utah, University of Utah gymnastics, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Aloha, I am Becky Knowles. I have been in education for over 25 years. I started in Elementary Education. Then, I received my Special Education Certification. I have taught birth to 12th grade. Both general and special education. I was trained on Orton-Gillingham (multi-sensory language) instruction by one of the top trainers in the world. For the last 7 years I have been Special Education Director, 2 years in Utah and 5 years in Hawaii. I have been a parent of special education and a 504 child. I love helping children succeed. One of the important parts of helping children to succeed is getting them the correct support. I am committed to helping with that. I am experienced in all aspects of the IEP process. I can read and interpret evaluations. I know the laws and I know how to read, write and fight for the what needs to be on an IEP.
